A restrictive endorsement stamp

Restrictive stamps are commonly used in financial transactions.

Such traditional rubber stamps (pre-inked, self-inking or other versions) are placed on the back of the document (e.g., bearer securities) to limit its use.

There is a long list of more than 100 specific kinds of this seal, but the most common type of restrictive endorsements of u.s and other countries is a seal containing the inscription “Deposit only”.

It is applied to the back part of the paper or form and prevents it from intercepting and using it for payment.

Business companies also use these stamps to improve the internal control of their assets.

A restrictive seal prevents unauthorized use of the security.

Please view the library of seal templates on the Stamp creator free service with some available premium features. There is an option of customizing and saving version 1, versions 2-5, or other variants of your stamp layout and order a rubber seal with a pad. A set of design tools would become a real helper in this. If you face any difficulties please contact us.

Some other ways of application of restrictive endorsement stamps

Seals of this type are indispensable in the following areas:

  • Debt settlement. Restrictions protect the debtor from future disputes with creditors.
  • Payment control. The stamps are especially important when it is required to link and endorse payments to the appropriate bank accounts without the risk of misuse.

How to choose the right version?

When selecting restrictive stamps on the stamp-creator.com, you should consider several template parameters:

  1. Size. Restrictive stamps may be of separate sizes, usually containing four or five lines. On the needs of the company, you may select a small stamp with a name of a bank, and a “Deposit only” (enter that on the stamp) and a federal account number or the name of a federal reserve bank, or a large stamp with a name of a company and its location (enter a city in a layout).
  2. Color of ink. Black or blue ink is most often used for stamps, but some companies apply green or red ink. Using different colors can help avoid confusion in the paperflow.

Before choosing the version for your needs, you must come and check up whether the restrictive endorsement stamp meets the requirements of a particular bank or financial institution of your city and civil rights (sometimes it is worth remembering the code of federal regulations).
